THE KEYHOLE GARDEN
The Keyhole Garden was a project in a small space in front of an apartment building in Los Angeles. We worked with the landlords and turned a space being used for nothing but patchy, uncared for grass into a thriving vegetable garden with dwarf fruit trees, a bench that turned into a picnic table, a bird bath and space for tree saplings to grow. It is now thriving with bees, butterflies, and conversations between tenants creating an air of peace, serenity, beauty and life.
POLYTUNNEL #1 AT MILLION DAISY FARM
This is polytunnel #1 at Million Daisy Farm, where Mike and Jeff live. Jeff designed the keyhole raised bed for more efficient use fo space, and built the polytunnel and rainwater capturement system.
MAKING APPLE CIDER
We rented an apple press at the local Falling Sky shop in Eugene, and picked apples off of 5 different trees at Million Daisy Farm with a fruit picking claw. The apples are totally untreated and everything used is toxin-free as much as can be.
